How the Islamic world can get out of the vortex it is in

Question: What is the effective remedy for the Islamic world to emerge from the turmoil it is in?

Answer: The way for the Islamic world to emerge from the turmoil it is in, with its various sects and ideological, political, social, and economic currents, is by adhering to Islam and implementing the Sharia of Allah in everything. This will unite the ranks and hearts.

This is the successful remedy for the Islamic world, and indeed for the entire world, from the disorder, differences, anxiety, corruption, and mischief it is experiencing. As Allah Almighty said: “O you who have believed, if you support Allah, He will support you and plant firmly your feet” [Muhammad: 7]. And He said: “And Allah will surely support those who support Him. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might. [They are] those who, if We give them authority in the land, establish prayer and give zakah and enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong. And to Allah belongs the outcome of [all] matters” [Al-Hajj: 40-41]. And He said: “Allah has promised those who have believed among you and done righteous deeds that He will surely grant them succession [to authority] upon the earth just as He granted it to those before them and that He will surely establish for them [therein] their religion which He has preferred for them and that He will surely substitute for them, after their fear, security, [for] they worship Me, not associating anything with Me” [An-Nur: 55]. And He said: “And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided” [Aal-E-Imran: 103]. There are many verses with this meaning.

However, as long as the leaders, except those whom Allah wills, seek guidance and direction from sources other than the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace be upon him), and rule by other than His Sharia, and refer to what their enemies have set for them, they will not find a way out of their backwardness and internal conflicts, and their enemies’ contempt for them, and their denial of their rights. “And Allah wronged them not, but they wronged themselves” [Aal-E-Imran: 117].

So we ask Allah to unite them on guidance, to rectify their hearts and deeds, and to grant them the implementation of His Sharia and steadfastness upon it, and to abandon what contradicts it. Indeed, He is the Guardian of that and capable of it. And may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions.
