The meaning of the first pillar of Islam

Meaning: There is no god but God

Meaning There is no god but God

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to God, and may God’s blessings and peace be upon the Messenger of God, his family, his companions, and those who are guided by his guidance.
As for what follows: God sent His Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of God be upon him, to people in general, Arabs and non-Arabs... jinn and humans... males and females, calling them to the unity of God and devotion to Him, and to believe in Him, peace and blessings be upon him, and in what He brought, and to believe in all messengers, all angels, and the Scriptures. The status from heaven, and the Last Day, which is: resurrection, resurrection, recompense, reckoning, heaven and hell, and by destiny, its good and its evil, and that God has destined things, taught them, counted them, and written them down, Glory be to Him, so everything that happens is by the decree and destiny of God, Glory be to Him, and He commanded people to say: (There is no god but God) this. It is the first thing he called for, and it is the first pillar of Islam: testimony: that there is no god but God and that Muhammad is the Messenger of God. So when he said to the people: Say: There is no god but God, and he commanded them to believe that he is the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, most abstained and denied this call. And the Quraysh said to him what God had mentioned about them: Make the gods one god. Indeed, this is something amazing [p. 5].
And God Almighty said about them: When it was said to them, “There is no god but God,” they would become arrogant and say, “Indeed, we will leave our gods to a mad poet.” [As-Saffat: 35-36], so he denounced it And this invitation; Because they lived by worshiping idols and idols and taking gods with God Almighty, that is why they denied the call of the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, to monotheism of God and devotion to Him.
And this is what the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, called for, as all the Messengers called for, as God Almighty said: And indeed We have sent into every nation a Messenger, saying, “Worship God and avoid the tyrant” [An-Nahl: 36], and God Almighty said: And We did not send before you Messenger, to whom We have revealed that there is no god but Me. So worship Me [Al-Anbiya’: 25].
And in the two Sahihs on the authority of Ibn Omar, may God Almighty be pleased with them, on the authority of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said: Islam was built on five: - meaning: on five pillars - testifying that there is no god but God, and that Muhammad is the Messenger of God, establishing prayer, paying zakat, fasting during Ramadan, and Hajj. The verse, and also in the Sahih on the authority of Omar bin Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, came to him and asked him in the form of a man with very white clothes and very black hair, on whom no signs of travel could be seen, and none of those present knew him. He said: O Muhammad, tell me about Islam? He said: Islam: to bear witness that there is no god but God, and that Muhammad is the Messenger of God, to perform prayers, to pay zakat, to fast Ramadan, and to make pilgrimage to the House if you are able to make a way to it. He said: You are right. The Companions said: We were amazed at him asking him and believing him. Then he said: Tell me about Faith? He said: Faith is to believe in God, His angels, His books, His messengers, and the Last Day, and to believe in destiny, its good and its evil. He said: You are right. He said: So tell me about Ihsan? He said: To worship God as if you see Him, and if you do not see Him, He sees youHadith, then the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, told them This is Gabriel who came to them to teach them their religion
When they did not ask, Gabriel came to them with God’s command to ask the Messenger about this great religion so that they could learn and benefit.
The religion of Islam is built on these five apparent pillars:
The first is
: testimony: that there is no god but God and that Muhammad is the Messenger of God.
Second: performing the five daily prayers.
Third: paying zakat.
Fourth: Ramadan fasting.
Fifth: Hajj to the Sacred House of God.
And on the inner pillars of faith in the heart, which are: faith in God, His angels, His books, His messengers, the Last Day, and in destiny, its good and its evil. These principles are necessary. The believer who is charged must believe in these six inner principles that relate to the heart, so he believes that God is his Lord, his God, and his true deity, Glory be to Him. He is the Almighty, and he believes in the angels of God, and in the books of God that He sent down to the prophets, such as the Torah, the Gospel, the Psalms, the Qur’an, and other things. He also believes in the messengers whom God sent to His servants, the first of whom was Noah and the last of whom was Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him. They are many, and God explained some of them in the Great Qur’an. We also believe in the Last Day. It is the resurrection after death, and the reward is from God Almighty. The people of faith will have happiness, and the people of disbelief will have disappointment, regret, and Hell.
It is necessary to believe in destiny, its good and its evil, and that God destined things, taught them, wrote them, and counted them. Whatever God willed, it happened and what he did not will, did not happen, and everything that happens in existence, whether good and evil, obedience and disobedience, has preceded the knowledge, writing, and destiny of God, Glory be to Him, the Most High.
The first great principle that the Messengers called for is: belief that God is the true God, Glory be to Him, which is the meaning of testimony: that there is no god but God. This is an authentic principle upon which the Messengers, may God’s prayers and peace be upon them, unanimously agreed upon them. They all called for this authentic principle, which is for people to believe that God is the true God, and there is no true deity other than Him, and this is the meaning of: There is no true deity but God, meaning: There is no true deity but God, and whatever people worship, whether idols, trees, stones, prophets, saints, or angels, are all false. Truly worshiping God alone, Glory be to Him. And the Almighty: And your God is one God; there is no god but He, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful [Al-Baqarah: 163] And your Lord has decreed that you should worship none but Him. [Al-Isra: 23] You are the One we worship and You are the One we seek for help [Al-Fatihah: 5] And they were not commanded except to worship God, sincere to Him in religion, being upright [Al-Bayyinah: 5].
With this principle, there must be belief in the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him. In the era of Noah there was belief in Noah, and during the era of Hud there was belief in Hud with the monotheism of God, and in the era of Salih there was belief in Salih with the monotheism of God, and so in the era of every messenger, there must be monotheism of God and belief that there is no god but God and it is necessary to believe in the Messenger who conveyed the message during his reign to the last of them, Jesus, peace and blessings be upon him, the last of the prophets of the children of Israel, Jesus bin Mary, peace and blessings be upon him.
Then God sent their seal and the best of them, our Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him. Jesus is the last of the prophets of the children of Israel, and Muhammad is the last of the prophets and the seal of all the prophets. There is no prophet or messenger after him, peace and blessings be upon him. He is the best of the messengers, he is their imam, and he is their seal.
In the right of the nation, the nation of Muhammad, peace and blessings of God be upon him, its jinn and its humans, its Arabs and non-Arabs, its males and its females, its rich and its poor, its rulers and its ruled, must believe in this prophet. Whoever does not believe in him has neither Islam nor religion, so it is necessary to believe that God is the true God. And that there is no true god but God, and it is necessary to believe in Muhammad, peace and blessings of God be upon him, and that he is the true Messenger of God to all people, so whoever does not believe in these two testimonies is not a Muslim.
It is necessary to believe in them and believe in their meaning, and that the meaning of: (There is no god but God) means: There is no true deity but God, so it is not permissible to claim with God an angel, a prophet, a tree, a stone, a jinn, or an idol. So if he said: O Messenger of God, support me after his death, may God bless him and grant him peace, or he said: O Bedouin, O my master Bedouin, grant me victory, or heal my sick, or O my master Al-Hussein, or O my master Abdul Qadir, or Al-Madad Al-Madad, this becomes polytheism to God Almighty. Almighty, He invalidates the meaning of: There is no god but God, meaning: He invalidates your saying: There is no god but God. Because you did not bring worship to God alone, but rather you associated others with God, and called upon others with God, and God says:And the places of worship belong to God, so do not call on anyone with God [Al-Jinn: 18] And God Almighty says: And do not call upon other than God that which neither benefits you nor harms you; for if you do, then you are indeed of the wrongdoers [Yunus: 106]. And God Almighty says: And they were not commanded except to worship God, sincere to Him in religion, being steadfast. [Al-Bayyinah: 5] And God Almighty says: And your Lord has decreed that you should not worship anyone but Him [Al-Isra: 23]. You are the One we worship and You are the One we seek for help [Al-Fatihah: 5] The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, says: Supplication is worship, and the Almighty says: Call upon Me, I will respond to you [Ghafir: 60]. Worship must be devoted to God alone, including supplication. If you say to the dead, or to a tree, or to an idol: Help me, help me, heal my sick, then extending the term becomes polytheism to God, and becomes a negation of the saying: There is no god but God.
Likewise, whoever tells lies about the Messenger Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, or doubts his message, or says: He is for the Arabs and not the non-Arabs, or says: He is not the Seal of the Prophets, but rather a prophet after him, all of this is disbelief, misguidance, and a violation of Islam. We ask God for safety, so it is necessary to believe that he is the Messenger of God. Truly, to all the great people, the jinn and mankind, and it is necessary to believe that he is the Seal of the Prophets and Messengers and there will be no prophet after him, and that whoever claims prophethood after him, like Musaylimah the liar, is an unbeliever in God and a liar, like Musaylimah and Al-Aswad Al-Ansi in Yemen, and Sajjah Al-Tamimiyyah, Taliha Al-Asadi, and a group who claimed prophethood after him, so the Companions, may God be pleased with them, agreed. For their disbelief and fight them; Because they denied the meaning of His Almighty’s saying: Muhammad was not the father of any of your men, but he was the Messenger of God and the Seal of the Prophets [Al-Ahzab: 40]. There have been many hadiths from the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said: I am the Seal of the Prophets, there is no prophet after me Blessings and peaceThis testimony, which is: the testimony that there is no god but God and that Muhammad is the Messenger of God, is the original foundation, and it is the first pillar of Islam. There is no Islam except with these two testimonies. If he prays, fasts, performs Hajj, fasts during the day, prays at night, and mentions God often, but he does not believe that God is worthy. For worship, he does not believe in the meaning: There is no god but God. Rather, he sees that there is no objection to worshiping idols and idols. He sees no objection to worshiping Al-Badawi, Al-Hussein, Sheikh Abdul Qadir, Ali bin Abi Talib, or others. If he believes that this is permissible, they pray without God seeks help from them... warns them. He has become a polytheist with God Almighty, and his words and this belief have become a contradiction to the saying: There is no god but God.
Thus, if he said: Muhammad, peace and blessings of God be upon him, is not the Seal of the Prophets, or he is not sent to the great prophets, but rather he is to the Arabs in particular, then he is a disbeliever in God Almighty, so he must believe that he is the Messenger of God to all the great prophets, and he must believe that he is the seal of the prophets, with no prophet or messenger after him. This is what he is. The original original.
Then after this, the Muslim is required to pray, he demands zakat, fasting, Hajj, the rest of the commands and abandonment of prohibitions after this principle is proven, after his belief in the testimony: that there is no god but God and that Muhammad is the Messenger of God, meaning: his belief that God Almighty is the One who is truly worshiped and that worship is His right. Alone, and that no prophet, angel, tree, idol, or anything else is worshiped with Him, and it is necessary to believe that Muhammad is the Messenger of God, while believing in all the prophets of the past, and that they carried out the message and conveyed it, may the blessings and peace of God be upon them, along with belief in all of the above, including faith in God, His angels, His books, His messengers, and today. The other, and by destiny, its good and evil, it is necessary this and this, and with all of this it is also necessary to believe in what God and His Messenger told him about what was and what will be, for God is truthful in His information and His Messenger is truthful, peace and blessings be upon him, so whoever denies God or the Messenger, peace and blessings of God be upon him, disbelieves even if he prays. He fasted, we ask God for guidance for everyone.
